Scrub bulls are found on grazing properties in North Queensland. Scrub bull hunts are conducted in conjunction with our North Queensland wild boar hunts.
These properties are hundreds of thousands of acres in size, with the cattle only being mustered once a year.
Frequently cattle are missed in these musters. Young bulls that are missed and thus not turned into steers, become the truly wild animal known as the Scrub Bull. They in turn breed and produce more wild cattle, that whilst an unwanted nuisance to the grazier, result in an exciting and difficult game animal for the hunter.
The trophies produced by scrub bulls are unique. The breeds they originate from have the potential to develop large horns. Since scrub bulls are wild, they have never been de-horned, allowing their horns to fully grow into the sharp weapons seen on this page.
The hot climate and often difficult terrain they live in, produce exactly the right conditions for a hard hunt. But the trophies they produce make all the hard work worthwhile!
